One Direction (commonly abbreviated as 1D) are an English-Irish pop boy band based in London, composed of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and previously, Zayn Malik until his departure from the band on 25 March 2015

Even though Zayn's gone and done something 1D was never able to as a group, we're sure Harry, Liam, Louis and Niall are all happy for his success. Plus, there's probably a ton of new One Direction solo music with the potential to debut at #1 coming in the near future. So Zayn's the first member of 1D to get a #1 single, not the last.
